I had a conversation with [info]tylerhutchison at SPX that spurred me on to draw a comic uncomfortably similar to true events! So here it is.

So, SPX! It was good times, my first time at a table and selling the first comic I've written longer than three pages and printed. It was great seeing everyone from last year and meeting new folks, and those I shared a table with were rad as usual. Probably did that thing where I won't shut up due to nerves. Spent most of my Saturday earnings on the only food I ate that day, good thing it was the Best Falafel In the World or else I might've been upset about it. Got to meet my hero Scott C, he's the coolest dude. We talked about video game jobs and how much fun it is to draw Morrissey. Our table was graced with a Beartato made by a big fan of [info]nedroidcomics, constructed from a rutabaga (it is a better shape than a potato apparently). Many comics involving flan in some fashion were drawn. Jams will be linked to as they are uploaded.

Like this one, which is an amazing thing.

Great seeing everyone who I saw there, looking forward to next year!

That's right, suckas. IT RETURNS.

ALSO: Is there any reliable (preferably free) software for making a layout for book-printin'?

Our hero, a little unfamiliar with anything that isn't a mining laser or pickaxe.

Ladies and Gentlemen, do I have a film for you.
STARCHASER: THE LEGEND OF ORIN (1985) is just one of those movies that is so bad that it is incredibly entertaining to watch. In this unabashed animated Star Wars ripoff, the title character ORIN, a slave in some hellhole mining place, finds a mystical sword that leads him to escape and befriend a Marlon Brando-lookin' guy who is totally not Han Solo and an acceptably white love interest who is not Princess Leia. That being said, there are actually a few parts that are kind of enjoyable, and not in an unintentionally hilarious way. It was also the first movie to incorporate 2D and 3D animation together, so that's something.

SEE! Our hero almost get disemboweled!
SEE! Robots kicking blind children!
SEE! An uncomfortable scene involving robots and butt panels!
HEAR! Generic off-brand Star Wars music!

Ok I'm really behind on this but I should be finished soon, I hope, lest I look like a damn fool because I don't got a book.

But hey, how bout that screen tone, eh? Eh?
